Q: We want to source directly from Africa. Is CRDLE a middleman?
CRDLE is an online marketplace that helps you connect directly to farmers and businesses in Africa. We are not a middleman or a broker. We are a platform, just like Amazon, Faire, and Alibaba, with technology that helps you find great products and services. We have excellent customer service and stay by your side the entire way to make sure you are completely satisfied with your suppliers.
Q: What kind of brands are on CRDLE?
We list businesses on CRDLE that export products or provide tech outsourcing companies. It is businesses based in Africa who are looking for global customers whether that’s businesses in North America, Europe, or even other African countries. We allow almost all export products except tobacco, crude oil, and live animals. We are adding new brands every day with the goal of sourcing products from every African country.
Q: Do I still need to do due-diligence?
Yes! CRDLE performs soft due-diligence on all brands to ensure they have valid business licenses in Africa as well as the ability to export products. However, we strongly encourage you to do your due-diligence including ordering samples and lab certificates. CRDLE cannot be liable for any purpose including for wrong orders or bad products, although if this happens, we will do our best to liaison to find a good solution that works for both the buyer and supplier.
Q: Who do we pay?
Buyers can pay through the CRDLE platform. This ensures a secure and easy method of payment along with our 24/7 support, shipping discounts, and more great advantages. Because we work in all African countries and in multiple sectors, we do offer various degrees of flexibility to ensure we meet regulations of local governments.
Q: Where are you located?
We are an American-based company with headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. However, we have team members and partners located throughout the world, including Ethiopia and Rwanda. We are proud to have a team that is majority female and have most of our positions filled by those born and raised in African countries.
Q: Is it free to list your business on CRDLE?
Yes! African businesses can sign up and list their business for free. You must have a registered business license in an African country.
Q: Why should I sign up as a buyer?
As a buyer, you can browse the CRDLE website, view products, company profiles, prices, and more without signing in. However, by signing up as a buyer you can receive exact price quotations, request for products and services, and get updates when new companies sign up. It’s 100% free to sign up.
